Galbraith Community Service
Galbraith Laboratories is committed to giving back to our community
March of Dimes
Galbraith Laboratories is privileged to support the heart-warming and worthy mission of the March of Dimes: To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
Galbraith is involved in numerous fund-raising events in Knoxville and the surrounding counties, such as: WalkAmerica, Chef’s Auction, Golf Outings, Beanie Babies, and more.
Brenda Thornburgh, President of Galbraith Laboratories, Inc., is a volunteer and previously served on the Board of Directors for the East Tennessee’s March of Dimes organization.
For over 10 years, Galbraith Laboratories has had the pleasure of hosting an Angel Tree for the disadvantaged children in our local community. Our employees fill Santa’s sleigh with the various Christmas wishes plucked from the Angel Tree, in hopes of bringing smiles to their faces and hugs to their hearts.
University of Tennessee Scholarship
In honor of our Founder, Dr. Harry Galbraith, his legacy, and life-long love of animals and in memory of the late Carolyn Woods Galbraith, the Company established “The Annual Harry and Carolyn Galbraith Scholarship Fund” in 2002. The $5000 Scholarship Fund is an annual contribution to The University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine, and is designated to support those pursuing an education in veterinary medicine.
Brenda Thornburgh, President, is a member of Rotary and Galbraith Labs supports the ‘PolioPlus’ campaign to help eradicate polio worldwide. Galbraith has committed to an annual donation in memory of the late Dr. Harry Galbraith (a polio survivor), and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation provides matching funds for a period of three years.
Support for Local Educational Projects High School through College Level
